Sessions!

Throughout the Convention you have the opportunity to see many speakers. They do a great job of finding entertainment to motivate the members. Pictured is Oakfield FFA member Kayla Ruplinger after she volunteered to go on stage for a mixer game.

Following that we saw Terry Bradshaw make a wonderful presentation. He is not an elequent speaker but had a phenomonal message for young people. He basicly said, "get off your butts and get to work!" I am not sure these are the kids that need to hear that but I am sure already motivated kids were even more Revvvvved and ready to go!

I NEED to Thank Badgerland Farm Credit for sponsoring all of my 4-H/FFA On the Air all year long. A special mention for Mike Immel-Rural Insurance for sponsoring my trip to Indianaplis. I MUST Thank the FFA Chapters (Lomira, Oakfield, Laconia, Waupun, Mayville, Campbellsport, Kewaskum and Hartford) again for taking me along to Indianapolis. I can only think of two words for the parents, advisors and communities that get to work with these young people on a regular basis...they are...LUCKY YOU! Until next time...

FFA Way!

Indianapolis was so excited to have 50,000 FFA Members (I can't blame them) in their city they actually closed down the streets. Well it was really only one, but it was still closed for walking purposes only.

It connected the Conseco Center, where the big sessions were held with the Indianapolis Convention Center where the Trade Show was held and the RCA Dome where we say Heartland, Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood sing. FUN!

Indianapolis, Here We Come!

Some might say traveling with a busload of young people is overwhelming if not insane. Well I beg to differ!!! I had the opportunity to travel with the Lomira, Oakfield, Laconia, Waupun, Mayville, Campbellsport, Kewaskum, and Hartford FFA Chapters to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis in October. We had 54 FFA Members along with 5 advisors and me on a coach bus for 4 days and it was fantastic.

Last week on The Bob Hoffmaster Show on Wednesday I played an interview with the Managing Director of the NCAA Hall of Champions George Smith. It was an interesting facility and he was a very nice man. I am pictured here with George Smith along side the famous flying wedge formation that stands in their building entrance

Finally!

I really need a photo program for one of my computers so I can take pictures with my digital camera and get them website ready myself instead of waiting for my daughter to do it. Oh Well, Maybe Christmas! (hint, hint)

For the first time in my life I was able to lead an animal at World Dairy Expo. It was extremely emotional for me because I never thought we would have an animal that was good enough to even be at ExpoAND I understand the prestige that goes along with leading an animal on the colored shavings. (as they say) I surveyed some friends on whether I looked like I belonged there and they said I did. I guess, you can be the judge.
