Happy Easter!

I am afraid if you bought something new and summery for Easter Sunday you may need to wear a coat and ear muffs on your Easter bonnet. Regardless of the weather the food will be great. On Thursday morning I did an interview with the meat specialist from UW-Extension. He gave information on the how-tos of Easter ham purchasing, preparation and storage. In case you have any questions I have some websites you can log on to for more info. They are www.foodsafety.wisc.edu, www.cooksham.com, www.hormel.com, or www.honeybaked.com. ENJOY!

More importantly...Attend the church of your choice. The new spring clothes are fun, the food is delicious, but the church attendance is necessary! Happy Easter...till next time

Humbled Again!

On Tuesday evening the Laconia FFA held their Annual Banquet. The evening started with an absolutely delicious meal prepared mostly in part by the Senior member's Moms. Thanks ladies! I've eaten in 5 star restaurants when the food didn't taste half that good. Many awards were presented and I will cover those on 4-H/FFA On the Air on Friday and Saturday.

I, though, was humbled again when they presented ME with their Honorary Chapter FFA Degree.

I don't cover youth in agriculture for the recognition. I report on 4-H and FFA because I feel the general public NEEDS to hear about the great things they are doing. Truthfully I feel they make me a better person just being with them! Sooo...Thank You Laconia FFA... not just for the recognition but also for just letting me hang around. Til next time...
