I also talked about changes in how mileage will be calculated on new cars. Information on mileage on new cars can be found at www.fueleconomy.gov. The corn growers also have a new updated website. Included is information not just for producers but also for consumers. Their website is www.ncga.com.

Chili is all you can eat for $5.00. 5 and under eat free. Also that evening there will be a live auction and the drawing for their lawn tractor raffle for the scholarship fund. You can view the tractor and trailor AND purchase tickets at the gas station on the corner of 45 and B in Eden.

I received information from the Soybean growers on Friday. Instead of transposing the entire letter I will present it to you just I received it

Soybean Growers Urge Call To Action on State Budget

Directors of the Wisconsin Soybean Association (WSA) are asking people to telephone Governor Doyle and members of the budget conference committee in support of state commitments for renewable energy and specifically proposals that dedicates money to help build a soybean crush plant, boost demand for biodiesel and help build infrastructure for retail biodiesel sales within Wisconsin.

“We need as many state soybean growers to call the governor and their state legislators and let them know three simple things,” explains Keith Ripp, soybean producer from Lodi. “First that you support the Governor’s $30 million state budget supporting renewable energy; second that you hope they will support the proposal that dedicates money to help build a soybean crush plant, develops necessary infrastructure and helps producers build a biodiesel market in Wisconsin, and; third that you believe it is important for our state agriculture, environment and economy to support a biodiesel market in Wisconsin.”

What beautiful weather!

We have been very lucky so far this Fall. It can stay like this until March and then get warmer. I continue to be an eternal dreamer. Seriously. I want to say "Hi" to my friend Danielle Waldschmidt in Minnesota. She sent me a Thank You card for something I did for her and made some crack about updating my blog. Well this is the second week in a row. We will see how long it takes her to see this.

This past week I talked about some new beef cuts being developed and introduced. In case you are interested in checking those out, the website is http://www.beefinnovationsgroup.com/. Just remember, all of that research and development is payed for by the beef and dairy producers in the United States.

On Monday I am doing a story about green personal needs products (deodorant etc) The company is DuPont Tate and Lyle Bio Products. The Zemea renewably sourced propanediol products are being provided to Terra Naturals Inc. in their Green line. The products are corn-based, aluminum and petroleum-free. I did not Google anything but thought some of the key words would assist listeners if they were interested in doing some research

Have a good weekend and a great week!
