Expo 06 is History

I cannot believe World Dairy Expo 2006 is history. This was a year of firsts. It was the first time I stayed on the grounds all week. This was the first time I slept in my pick-up truck. This was the first time I showed an animal on the colored shavings (as they say). Not a first is the opportunity to see old friends and new. The thrill of the week is still the awesome cattle that grace the grounds.

I had the opportunity to dine with members of the National Dairy Check-off Board on Friday evening. It is no wonder the dairy promotion is so successful when you meet the creative friendly, exciting people that are making those very important decisions. A special Thanks to Joe Bavido for inviting me along. We ate at Quivey's Grove in Madison. I had the fish special but Stu Muck said I blew it I should have had STEAK. Next Time! Keep an eye on my blog and I will post pictures from Expo as they become available.

The countdown is on for National FFA Convention in an all new location Indianapolis. October 24th I will be leaving Lomira at 7:30 in the morning, on a bus filled primarily with high school kids. Sounds like a blast to me. Stayed tuned for updates. Until next time...
